Family Tree
Flawless by Elsie Silver Chestnut Spring#1
Summary:
Flawless by Elsie Silver was exactly the kind of fun, fast-paced romance we needed. The story set is of Rhett Eaton, a bull rider (bad boy), and Summer Hamilton, daughter of his manager, who basically babysit him. Rhett’s in trouble and has to stay out of the spotlight before a big championship. Enter Summer, who moves to his family ranch to keep him in check. Of course, Rhett is super annoyed at first, but things start heating up real quick.
There’s also an age gap—Summer had a crush on Rhett when she was younger, which made things even cuter. Slowly but surely, they fall for each other. It’s classic forced proximity. The banter between them was perfect, and watching them try to fight their feelings was both funny and sweet. Rhett’s all tough and rugged, but it turns out he’s also a sensitive sweetheart.
Review:
The romance in this book had plenty of those “aww” moments. Like when Rhett compared Summer’s freckles to constellations? But don’t worry, there’s plenty of steam too. Rhett is not shy about telling Summer exactly what he wants. The spicy scenes definitely delivered. But they also have real-life problems. Communication?
The side characters were a blast, too. Rhett’s brothers are hilarious. His dad? Adorable. And Summer’s best friend, Willa, totally gave me “ride or die” vibes. Also, the book touches on some heavy stuff, like family drama, loss, and health scares, so be warned. The only downside? The ending felt a little rushed. But overall, it was a fast, fun, and steamy read that had me hooked from start to finish.

Heartless by Elsie Silver Chestnut Spring#2
Summary:
In Heartless, Willa is on the hunt for a summer job after her brother decides to close his bar for renovations. She’s stuck in Chestnut Springs with no place to crash, so she turns to her best friend, Summer. Willa can be a nanny for Cade Eaton, a single dad with a five-year-old son, Luke. Cade is looking for someone who won’t try to date him. So, of course, Summer thinks Willa is perfect!
Their first meeting is a bit… awkward. Cade can’t help but notice Willa’s amazing laugh at the coffee shop. But then she accidentally drops her panties! She just shrugs and says, “finder’s keepers.” At first, Cade is not impressed. But then he sees how great Willa is with Luke, and his tough exterior starts to crack.
Willa and Luke hit it off like peanut butter and jelly, and Cade can’t help but fall for Willa. They share sweet moments, like making out in a hay bale after playing hide and seek. It’s all fun and games until Cade remembers Willa will be gone by summer’s end. He starts to hold back, but when Willa goes out with one of his rodeo buddies, Cade loses it.
Then comes the plot twist: Willa finds out she’s pregnant! Panic mode: activated. She worries Cade might think she’s trying to trap him, just like Luke’s mom did. But Cade is ready to step up and wants nothing more than to be with her.
Review:
While Heartless has plenty of charm and swoon-worthy moments, some readers wished there was more drama with Luke’s mom, Talia, especially at key moments. Plus, a little more time for Willa and Cade to grow as a couple before the baby bombshell would’ve been nice. But overall, this book is a sweet and funny look at love and family, leaving us excited for more adventures in the series!

Powerless by Elsie Silver Chestnut Spring#3
Summary:
Sloane Winthrop and Jasper Gervais have been best friends since they were kids. But lately, things have felt a little off. On her wedding day, Sloane gets a shock: her fiancé is cheating! Luckily, Jasper, her trusty sidekick, swoops in to save the day. They hit the road together, and suddenly all those hidden feelings start bubbling up. Surprise!
This story has the classic friends-to-lovers vibe. But when Jasper finally admits he loves her, she freaks out. Seriously, girl, this is what you’ve wanted for ages!
Jasper has a sad backstory. He’s an orphan taken in by Sloane’s family, which adds some depth. But here’s the kicker: he’s also an NHL goalie, and that gets about two lines of attention.
Review:
Overall, Powerless is a power packed book that really packs that heart so well. You can feel the emotion deep to the heart in this one. This book has some laughs, especially thanks to side characters like Harvey and Willa, but it doesn’t have the magic of the earlier books. It’s a light read about friendship and love, but it might leave you wishing for a little more excitement.

Reckless by Elsie Silver Chestnut Spring#4
Summary:
Reckless by Elsie Silver is a heartwarming small-town romance about Winter Hamilton, a tough doctor, and Theo Dale Silva, a charming bull rider. Winter’s got her walls up after a messy marriage and surprise pregnancy, and she’s fiercely protective of her daughter, Vivi. Theo? Well, he’s the fun, flirty type who’s not afraid to push his luck. He doesn’t know he’s Vivi’s dad until later, but when he finds out, he’s all in.
From the start, Theo’s smitten with Winter, even though she’s the total opposite of him. He’s a hot, bull-riding, golden-retriever-type guy, and she’s a sharp, no-nonsense “ice queen.” But their chemistry is off the charts. Theo isn’t just about fun and games—he wants to be a better man, not just for Vivi, but to prove he’s worthy of Winter’s love.
Review:
Theo’s the type of guy who barks at Winter (yes, literally) to make her laugh. He’s also a total sweetheart who’s head over heels for his daughter. The scenes where he bonds with Vivi will melt your heart.
Winter, meanwhile, is learning to trust again. She’s been hurt before, but Theo’s determined to show her what real love looks like. And guess what? No dramatic breakups! Instead, the story focuses on their growing connection and how they both make each other better. Theo’s patient, never pushing Winter too hard, and Winter slowly lets him in.
The ending is perfect, with a little ex-husband drama for good measure, but nothing too heavy. The epilogue wraps everything up beautifully, and you’ll want more of this little family by the time it’s over. “Reckless” has it all—cute kids, steamy moments, a bull rider with a heart of gold, and an ice queen who finds her match. It’s a funny, sweet, and satisfying love story that’ll leave you grinning like a fool.

Hopeless by Elsie Silver Chestnut Spring#5
Summary:
Hopeless by Elsie Silver is a sweet, slow-burn romance about two lost souls finding each other. Beau is a 35-year-old special ops soldier recovering from PTSD and some serious burns. He’s the funny, goofy guy in his family, but deep down, he’s hurting. Bailey, at 21, is an outcast in their small town. Her family’s a mess—think drug addicts and petty criminals—and she’s stuck dealing with the bad reputation they left her. All she wants is to start fresh and escape their shadow.
Beau and Bailey’s romance builds slowly, with plenty of cute moments and some tension. Beau’s protective, while Bailey’s tough but vulnerable. Their age gap adds some spice to the mix, with Beau stepping in as the older, more experienced one. But don’t be fooled—Bailey’s got her own sass and doesn’t let him off easy.
Review:
The story is full of pining, longing, and a lot of “will-they-won’t-they.” The slow burn is real, and by the time they finally get together, it’s worth it. Some readers felt the steamy scenes didn’t totally live up to the wait—one particular bathtub moment felt more “meh” than “wow.” But hey, at least it wasn’t boring!
There’s a bit of drama near the end that might feel a little over-the-top, but it doesn’t last too long. They talk it out like grown-ups and everything gets sorted. The ending, where they move away from Chestnut Springs, might make some fans sad since it means they leave the Eaton family behind.
In the end, Hopeless is a charming, emotional story about healing, finding love, and moving on from the past. It’s packed with humor and heart.

“We’re symbiotic, you and me. Without you, this version of me doesn’t exist. Without the next version of you, the next version of me doesn’t exist either. We’re going to grow together.”
