Okay, now we’re getting to the books that made my heart race (better than brurtal prince). This Beauty and the Beast-style dark romance was pure magic. Mikolaj, the tortured, villain, and Nessa, the delicate yet strong-willed ballerina? Perfection. The kidnapping, the gothic mansion, the slow burn—it’s everything.

Plot: Enemies to lovers, kidnapping, mafia revenge. Why You should Read it: The dark, gothic vibes were fantastic, but Mikolaj’s emotional walls took a long time to come down

Their chemistry is chefs kiss, and I loved that their love story wasn’t about mafia politics but about two people finding their way together.

Plot: Bad boy & good girl, mechanic heroine, forbidden love. Why You should Read it: The chemistry is electric, and Nero’s reckless charm makes this book impossible to put down.

I wanted to love this more than I did. Dante is fantastic—broody, intense, a walking tragedy with a gun—but Simone? Simone made some choices. Leaving him for nine years? Girl, what were you thinking? The second-chance romance had its moments, but the heartbreak-to-reunion ratio felt a little off. Still, it’s a solid read with all the angst you could ask for.

Cowboy charm, unwavering loyalty, and a lethal skill set? Dreamy. Their banter was top-tier, and watching him slowly tear down her walls was deeply satisfying.

Plot: Bodyguard romance, opposites attract, enemies to lovers. Why You should Read it: Their banter was hilarious, and watching Raylan gently but persistently break down Riona’s walls? Swoon

Sebastian, the youngest Griffin brother, finally gets his time to shine, and while I liked both him and Yelena, I didn’t feel as deeply connected to them as I did with other couples. It’s a good book, don’t get me wrong—danger, betrayal, forced proximity—but it just didn’t grab me by the throat and refuse to let go the way some of the others did.

Plot: Arranged marriage, forbidden love, mafia heirs. Why You should Read it: While it delivers action and suspense, their chemistry wasn’t as intense as other couples in the series.
