The story starts when the CIA hears rumors of a seemingly big terrorist attack, known as “a Spectacular,” Kane is sent to a unstable region where boundaries of countries like Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan meet. The book gives readers a touch down look into the life of a spy, from the careful planning to the emotional losses and affect it takes on agents and their loved ones.
