A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping Summary Spoilers

Fifteen years ago, Sera Swan, once Britain’s top witch, panics in her garden. Her great-aunt is dead & feeling lost? Sera does the forbidden—she summons her back, along with a resurrected rooster skeleton.

Cue the Guild: no mercy for necromancy. Sera loses nearly all her magic and is exiled, forced to rebuild her life at the humble Batty Hole Inn

At a Guild masquerade, they attempt to gather the “sunset” essence. Things go sideways—Clemmie’s betrayal is revealed and the plan shoots flames.

Enter Albert Grey, who storms the inn to threaten Sera’s found family. Sera challenges him—and in their duel, she strips him of magic using another forbidden spell. She physically reclaims her power yet sacrifices it in the act, freeing him and the Guild from his tyranny

The ending: Sera emerges as a phoenix: magic gone, but identity reclaimed.
