The Broken Seal by Noctis Codex is the first book in the Blood World series, a dark fantasy that begins with a weird mystery, a passenger plane lands safely, but every onboard is dead. A virus? A ghost? Or something far more terrifying?

Book Review: Blood World (The Broken Seal )
The story starts with our first and foremost character, Dr. Zane Lazaar. He’s a blood expert, not a vampire hunter. His job is to find clue and facts, not fight.
The story then moves as a mystery thriller and it soon becomes something much bigger. Ancient secrets. Hidden groups. Strange powers. And plenty of moments that make you go, “Wait… what just happened?” In the best way.
The world-building is truly on point. This isn’t just another vampire story with lots of fangs and drama. It is a mysterious story with a pinch of history and own set of rules. It’s like opening a box, where you would find three more secrets if you set to find one.
So why not five stars?
The book sometimes tries to do a little too much. There are lots of name, groups and history to remember. If you missed a couple of page, you might wonder, “Who was that again?” Also, a few chapters in between slows down the pace little bit.
Still, those are small bumps in an real exciting ride.
If you enjoy thrillers with supernatural kick, this one’s a sure read. Just don’t expect to finish it in parts because Blood World is addictive.

A passenger plane lands… and every single person onboard is dead. Creepy ?
It gets worse. They’ve all been drained of blood. (shhhh! Vampire, Mystery solved?) Zane have to collect scientific evidences to correctly point out who is behind all of this murders.
Zane starts doing what he does best, collecting evidence, running tests, asking questions. But the clues refuse to behave. Instead of leading to a serial killer, they all refer to something ancient and mysterious being.
Before long, Zane discovers that vampires are real. Not the sparkly kind. The run as soon as you see them kind. As he dives further, he find a secret groups that have been protecting humanity for centuries, relics, and the mystery of the Broken Seal, Guess what? Some very bad people want that seal broken.
Then comes the twist Zane never saw coming. His own family history is tied to this hidden world. Suddenly, he’s not just solving the mystery he’s part of it. Talk about a life flipping moment.
Every answer opens another door, and behind that door is usually another problem. Thanks, book.

What I Loved
What I loved most was the mix of science and the supernatural. Zane doesn’t jump to wild conclusions. He questions everything, just like we would. That makes the story feel more realistic.

Final Verdict?
Some books are happy to give you all the answers. Blood World clearly didn’t get that memo. Overall, the book is pretty good. The science and explanation are digestible even for wierd things happening around. The thriller truly feels like one, with very interesting storyline with mytho, vamps and action. Great Book for supernatural lovers.
