Kennedy’s battle with a sexist workplace gives her a great learn to experience and quality that highlights her desire and tenacity. Isaiah and Kennedy’s story is amazing. Isaiah changes from a careless playboy to a loving, caring partner and at the same time Kennedy becomes more and more confident and strong. Their accidental/convenience marriage slowly turning into real love is sweet and touching. Isaiah’s kindness and attention to detail, and Kennedy’s intelligence make them perfect for each other.
One of the special and appreciable aspects of this book is the true depiction of mental health. The storylines points out these topics with sensitivity, authenticity and great care. And this adds depth to both characters and their relationship in a very positive way. The story kicks off with a unique and fun twist: a drunken marriage that turns into a marriage of convenience. This novel has numerous heartfelt and tears dropping moments. Isaiah’s over obsessive commitment to Kennedy is evident from the start, from him buying her new shoes when her feet hurt to fighting against her boss and family for her to faking things for her promotion even though it means she might move away from him.
