Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage is a cowboy romance story with the small-town vibes featuring Cam and Dusty’s teen love and then to wrangling again after 15 years. Elite?.. Let’s find out.
Well let’s dive into it but if you have not read Lost and Lassoed which is the third book in the series, no worries you can checkout complete story at Lost and Lassoed by Lyla Sage.

“Despite her best attempts to stay far away from Dusty Tucker,
Cam realizes that being close to him is like slipping on her favorite jeans. Easy.”
Book Review: Wild and Wrangled (Rebel Blue Ranch #4)
The flashbacks to Cam and Dusty’s teen love? SWOONY. And let’s not forget Amos, who deserves his own spinoff and possibly nearly saint status. The emotional core was there—healing, breaking, loving, loving again etc.. That’s a win.
Look, I somewhat like this book, if anyone deserves to be celebrated with sizzling meat and dramatic steam clouds, it’s Dusty but… by the time I reached the end? I didn’t feel satisfied—I felt… twisted. Like, wait—was that supposed to wreck me? Did I miss something? but..
One full star lost to Camille, whose inner monologue dragged more than a tumbleweed in a windstorm. Another point is this plot moved slower than molasses in January. There were so many longing looks and angsty silences, I started to wonder if my Kindle had frozen.
The breakups (again & again!!) felt avoidable and repetitive, & seems like Cam was self-sabotaging herself.

Wild and Wrangled by Lyla Sage Summary (Spoilers)
Camille Ashwood gets dumped at the altar (ouch), then flees to Meadowlark for a fresh start… only to discover her new neighbor is Dusty Tucker — her first love, and she hasn’t seen him in 15 years.
Dusty, now a rugged rancher with tattoos and emotional damage, never really got over Cam, and spoiler: he is so down bad. Like…
“He was beautiful. He always had been, but beautiful things can be dangerous, too.”

The story flips between teen Camusty (can we ship them…) and their adult selves again going for reconciliation. Teenage Dusty wrote her love notes, people. And adult Dusty?
He’s with love, supporting her after the wedding disaster & even bonding with her daughter Riley (who, wants to make everyone friendship bracelets even for the world), and reminding Cam what she used to be — the one who trusts in love.
But it’s not all romantic hayrides. Their first breakup? Caused by Cam’s toxic, un welcoming parents and her self belief that she didn’t deserve love. And guess what? That belief still lingers. Cue a second (temporary) breakup, because Cam is scared and self-sabotage is her middle name.
Thankfully, love (and Amos, the king of emotional advice) suggests. Cam finally chooses Dusty back — in full. They build a family, a home, and yes, their own redemption story.
Quotes:
“The bravest thing you can do when you love someone is work hard to keep them—to hold on to them with everything you’ve got—and even when you loosen your grip, you don’t let go.“
Final Verdict?
Did I enjoy the ride? Kind of. Will I reread it? idn. Will I think about Dusty every time I see a Pink Lady apple? Absolutely.
